The UGK member shares a story of KRS-One reacting to the group signing with Jive Records.

(AllHipHop News) Bun B was the latest guest on the Rap Radar podcast presented on Tidal.

The Texas Hip Hop icon covered numerous topics during the nearly two-hour discussion.

Podcast hosts Elliott Wilson and Brian “B. Dot” Miller questioned the UGK member about mental health, the passing of Pimp C, Donald Trump, working with Jay-Z, his upcoming album, and his experiences in the music industry.

Specifically, Bun spoke about he and Pimp C signing their first record contract with Jive Records.

“We signed the deal, and we went out in the hallway. We were celebrating like, ‘We’re in New York! We just signed a record deal!'” recalled Bun. “[KRS-One] is walking down the hallway. He was like, ‘What are you doing here?'”

The group told KRS they had just signed with Jive, and the Teacha supposedly responded, “Ah f*ck.”

Bun said, “We literally went from the greatest moment of our life to our heart in our shoes in like a five minute period – within five minutes, [we were] regretting the record deal.”

The Bernard album creator also talked about the importance of aspiring artists paying close attention to all the details in the deals offered by record companies.
