The police are looking for a suspect who shot up a venue in Portland over the weekend, where the rappers were performing.
(AllHipHop News) Veteran rapper Scarface had to bring his Portland, Oregon show to an abrupt end early on Saturday (August 12) after a gun was fired inside the venue.
The hip-hop star had been sharing the stage with DJ Quik at the Crystal Ballroom when a single gunshot rang out towards the back of the concert hall.
The crowd was quickly evacuated from the building, but no injuries were reported.
Police responding to the incident are still searching for the suspect, who has yet to be identified.
In a new press release, authorities state: “Preliminary information indicates that the suspect left immediately after the gunfire and that there may have been an argument just prior to the gunshots.”
Scarface and DJ Quik have yet to comment on the shooting scare, which occurred towards the end of their set.
Scarface and Suga Free will hit the stage this Thursday (August 17) for a performance in downtown LA at The Novo.
